It is. If we didn't have the film of OotP, I'd say it makes sense (even if I'd still rather it be put off). But I really think releasing it so close to OotP is loopy.

Thank god for your post. Everyone on my FriendsPage is squeeing and I'm like "what's the good news in that?!". I mean, for now, mostly I don't care about book 7; I only read book 6 once (the crappy romances were really more than I could take), and I've even rather stepped away from fandom.....but that doesn't mean I'm ready for everything to be put to rest. I don't know, it feels awfully fast, when it should be the one she'd want to polish the most. And what if it sucks even more than 5 and 6 combined? What if there's more stupidely written romance that encroaches on the interesting parts of the plot? What if the end is totally anticlimatic? (and what if, one can draem, everything is just so perfect that it hurts to think we won't get to read more of it?) It just feels weird to think in six months, it'll all be over, and we won't have another chance at getting the last book we'd like to read.
