So, yeah, while I like the idea of Snape/Lupin in theory, I'm not usually one to seek out fic for it. I get this Truffaut-esque sense of quietness with the pairing, which is not how I usually want my smut. (It's the Eddie Izzard "I've been arranging matches," "I think I'd...better go," "Yes, I think you better had," narrative, when I'm looking for his "Alla time in here with the f**king matches! You f**k my wife? You f**k my wife?" "I AM your wife!" sort of porn.)

Apparently all that's needed is to throw Draco into the mix. I'm overwhelmed by [livejournal.com profile] kabeyk's fabulously literate The Way We Live Now, Remus/Severus/Draco, which never stops being snarkily delicious and funny and hot as all-get-out. It's a relatively short piece, posted on [livejournal.com profile] pornish_pixies, and there's affectionate-when-he's-sneering!Snape and don't-doubt-he's-the-Alpha!Remus and sarcastic-even-when-he's-scared!Draco. Go have a look.

I just read that fic and it is SO AMAZING OMG. I loved it how they were both like, "*sigh* Fine. If I absolutely must have sex with the insanely hot underage boy, I guess I will. But I won't like it." LOL guys. XD

I so fell in love with the line: "Piss off," Snape said, almost happily.

YES. That fic is perfect, isn't it? I read it a couple of days ago and FELL IN LOVE. Snape's attitude was the best part.

I swear to God I laughed SO HARD when I read this. Because it's true, and the truth is often funny. :)

("A Room With a View OF HELL!!!")

Thanks for the rec, am off to read right this second!

I've actually met Eddie Izzard. His nail varnish was all chipped, but we made him say "covered in bees". I think we annoyed him.

Thanks for the rec, and for using the word 'literate' in the same sentence as my username. :D

This was a fantastic fic. Thank you for rec'ing it. Oh, and btw, my best friend made me a shirt with a squirrel on it that says, "Did I leave the gas on?". It's wondermous, and it's always cool to see the people who recognize the quote. ~Harvest

Oh, if I knew you had recommended it, I would've read the story much, much earlier. And it's fabulous! I avoided it, at first, because I doubted a random threesome like that could work.

But it did.

Oh, it certainly did.

My only problem: it was all too short. Not just the story in general, but a lot of the scenes. I'd love to see a reworked version with a tad more detail. I'll have to comment about that on the story itself, though.

It is remarkable, and very lucky. And I love Eddie Izzard, too.
