A month of smut!

I seem to have done something that looks a little mad. I've taken on 14 challenges for the pornish_pixies Fantasy Fest. That wouldn't be such a big deal except they're all due at the end of August. Now, I still don't think that's as mad as it sounds, because it's no worse than the awesome challenge a whole bunch of you met for the pervy_werewolf's Lusty Month of May challenge. This one isn't even a fic a day, pah.

Lemme explain why I'm doing this: I've written smutty stories in the Potterverse because I fell in love with the idea, and the Potterverse was what inspired the stories: those pairings, those scenarios. Recently my pace of fic-producing has been a lot slower, and that's because, well, I've written all the ideas which, so far, screamed to me, "You are inspired to write this because of the Potterverse." I've got ideas for smut which could be made to fit the Potterverse, but, see, that isn't quite what I want to do with those ideas. If I don't need Harry and Lucius and Sirius and Voldemort to make me write the stories, then I'd rather write those as original fic.

However, I do not have any deadline on writing original fic, and I'm not worrying about finding an agent or publisher at this point, and I don't get to share it with the rest of you in fandom, and I LIKE sharing things with all of you.

So, this fest. A fest where a whole bunch of you said, "You know what I'd really like to see? A smutty story about THIS, just tailored for my favorite fantasies." And your fantasies are delicious, guys, they really are. I love you all so much.

So for the next month, I'll be writing stories which will undeniably make my inner editor say, for a number of them (especially the femmeslash), "These didn't need to be fanfiction, you know. They're PWP in a manner that you're quite capable of writing in an original universe." And I'll reply, "Yes, but they're fun, and they're making people happy (I hope!), and I work best under a deadline, and it's not like there are oodles of erotica anthologies out there saying, 'You know what we reeeeally need? More non-con gay/lesbian porn with fantasy settings!'" Hardly. Well. Not every golf enthusiast has to become a professional golfer, not every person who knits has to sell her scarves for money.

So, um...I will probably be throwing myself on your mercy at intervals and begging for quick-turnaround betas! The ladies in #knockturn were lovely and volunteered all over the place last night--love them all so. (And they have their own stories to write!)

No, we're trying to get off our tushes and MOVE instead of sitting at the computer all the time! And I had to spend an hour in training mode on Afronova before I could pass the thing in Light game mode. Whoo.

I have the XBox version - have been doing DDR Ultramix 2 in "workout" mode, which tells me how many calories I'm burning. It's very fun. Had to make the kids stop stomping at 6 am, though, right above my head :D

As I said on the thread, I was surprised that every single scenario that I went 'oh god, I hope someone does that well' or 'oh wow, I wish I could have grabbed that' or 'wow, I can't wait to see what that one turns out like' waqs chosen by you.

Man, I have high expectations. I didn't submit any requests myself, because I prefer other people's fantasies. *does the dance of omg can't wait to see what Amanuensis writes*

You know, I didn't submit requests either, because I'm indecisive and because I'm so picky, when it comes to my own fantasies! I really would rather see what the author/artist is inspired to create, 'cause I know it'll be the most delicious. ^_^ (And your expectations terrify me, I admit! This may turn into a "quantity" kinda accomplishment. As long as everything I write for this isn't all complete crap, I'll be satisfied.)

So I thought I'd leave... huh...just some thoughts? Here they are, hope you like them (although I read what you wrote about original work, I hope you still enjoy Potterverse as you put it):
Idea 1) Ever heard of the Brazilian Bikini Wax? Well, it's a waxing that removes ALL the hair from your intimate area leaving it completely smooth. Maybe Lucius would order Harry waxed like that? Maybe he would ask Snape to do it, perhaps in front of the entire Potions class? Some baby powder or lotion could be applied afterwards..
Idea 2)Lucius could say to Harry something like this: "I decided to let you know exactly how it is, Potter. I can arrange things in a way that Black and Lupin will be bought by Severus. You know he'll treat them soft...unlike ME. So I'll let him have them, if you actually turn yourself into my happy willing little bitch...instead of my obedient but ever-hateful slave". I wrote this like crap, but the idea is that Lucius wants to see Harry really lusting for him, that's what will turn him on; which means Harry has to overcome his disgust and hate for Lucius if he wants Black and Lupin to live, because of course Lucius can tell if he's faking.
I only wrote this because I just read 2 of your fics, otherwise I'd be too embarrassed to put it into writing!!

Well that's it, use it as you see fit (or not, if you don't like it). Keep up the great work!!!

Aren't you wonderful; thank you so much for the lovely compliments! I don't know if I could do a bikini wax kinkfic justice, but I'll tell you, I was oohing and ahhing over the second idea; it's delicious! As you can see, I've got a lot of writing lined up, but man, when this is done, I'll be going back to that idea and seeing if I can develop it. It's right up my alley! Thank you so much for the idea!
