So, like, there's this guy? In Toronto? Arrested? 'Cuz, like, he was driving around slowly in his car at 5 a.m. with no pants on, with his laptop open on his lap trying to find a wireless network that he could access so that he could download more porn?

So.

If anyone wants to know if they have a problem with addiction to all of this stuff...if you're doing THAT, I'd say, oh, yeah. Big time.

In other news, I've been translated into Chinese! Wahey! A Spell To Turn Tigers To Butter in Chinese, and I can't read a word of it! ^_^

Seems like a good moment to rec a few other things. Yes, I too succumbed to the hilarious and lovely Seven Things That Didn't Happen On Valentine's Day At Hogwarts, Or Maybe They Did. Remus/Sirius, MWPP-era, and terrific. (I can't figure out the author's name from the page.) Then there's a CHILLING piece, To the Victor Go the Spoils--The Dystopia of Draco Malfoy. This pseudo-non-con piece just burrowed its way into my brain, flesh flying as it went. Brr. Author is unknown at this time because it's for [livejournal.com profile] hpvalensmut (which you should also look at! I'm just getting started looking through it but it looks tasty!). And if you haven't been following [livejournal.com profile] chaos_rose's Carusiugum series, you're missing some incredibly hot stuff. Lucius/Severus, and there's sexual bonding and piercing and, oh, and everything. Go here and you can see the most recent bit and the thread which will link you to earlier parts if you've missed them.

Bwaahaahah!!! That would ingenious, if it wasn't to tragically stupid. Why did he have to have his pants off? That's the icing on this foolish cake.

And Chinese, oh my god, that's so cool! You need to get a friend who can read Chinese to read it and tell you how it's trasnlated, I'm so fascinated!

So, I guess the lesson is, keep your pants ON when driving around at 5 am looking for net porn! That way you know you're not too far gone.

I friended you, I hope you don't mind.

As for the guy in Toronto - that doesn't surprise me a bit - they're in Ontario and anyone from that province acts like they're from a different planet (as opposed to us on the East Coast who live for beer).

Congrats on the translation of your fic into Chinese! Someone translated one of mine into German and while I have absolutely no idea what it says, it looks really cool.

Take care.

I read the dysportia one, and I cried.

I mean, I just had a bad day, and I read that, and I wanted to yank of some body parts because they were so mean.

Then I cried some more.

Now I have a friend writing me a pointless fluff in which Draco is pampered and petted and everything nice.

So, I haven't decided whether or not I am glad for the rec or not.

I know what you mean. This is one of those "share the pain by recommending it" stories. I think it's brilliantly written, but I hated what it did to me, just hated it. Took me a couple hours of staring out the window and gibbering before I felt I could go on. That kinda thing impresses the hell out of me, I admit.

In another time, in another place, this could have been love.

Just finished "To the Victor Go the Spoils." So very gorgeous and perverse. Harry riding Draco bareback in an Auror's uniform? Forcefeeding? *Shiver*

And the Carusiugum Series is just... Lucius is so... and Snape ... guh.

I've found something amiss with your "Seven Things That Didn't Happen On Valentine's Day At Hogwarts, Or Maybe They Did." fic...If you wanted it Brit picked that is...the British do not have potatoes and eggs and sausage and two slices of French toast with syrup for breakfast. It would be considered very weird. The suasges and egges are fine, but nobody has potatoes for breakfast...they certainly wouldn't be served at Hogwarts...nor would the French Toast and the syrup. It's a British Boarding school, not a restraunt, they have very ... English food. Plus, your story is set in the 60's so they will have even more bland foods.

Other than the above, I'm enjoying reading the story. It's very humerouse.

Cool about your story. That would be fun to like... get the title with the Chinese characters put on a t-shirt or something. Because then you could wear it around doing things like buying groceries without anyone having the faintest clue what it meant, and get secret little naughty thrills. Of course, months later you would probably find out it translated to "Buttering tiger no good lucky magic" or something similar.

Thanks for reccing To The Victor. It gave me the tinglies. I tried to read the other, but my brain is not in sweet comprehension mode this morning. (Yes, I think it's going to be one of those kind of days. Beware onslaught of angsty bad fic.)
