Me: I hate that I've become so picky about bananas. They've got to be at the exact stage of ripeness and not beyond or I won't eat them.
S.O.: I know what you mean, I'm the same way.
Me: You watch them like a hawk: too green, too green, too green, not quite yet, a little more-- and then you take ONE bathroom break and suddenly, oh, f**k, I missed the window!
S.O.: Took yer eyes off 'em just long enough to inhale. And it's all over.
Me: Yeah, sometimes you hit them in that twelve-hour time span when they're edible. And just one day beyond that...
S.O.: ...it's time to call in John Constantine.

In other news, I watched the first episode of Ouran High School Host Club twice tonight, once in Japanese with subtitles and one with English, and, damn, I have to say, that's a great English dub. Think I'm gonna go with it.

This is EXACTLY how bananas work for me. Because if they're too green I actually get a little nauseous, and if they're too far gone... well, banana bread takes time, and I usually don't have it. %^<

Man, I would have made ninety tons of banana bread if I made it every time I had blackened bananas. Who's got the time, I ask you.

Yep. Yep. *nods sagely* That's why I never eat bananas anymore, I never manage to jump on them at just the right time.

I used to eat bananas all the time when I was a kid! I'm theorizing this is because you used to be able to buy yellow bananas at the store, so I'd eat three of them the day we bought them. Now all you can buy are bananas so green they're mistaken for elongated limes.

And oh, Ouran! ♥ So great!

I should just acquire the taste for green banana!

I actually was shown the first ep of Ouran ages ago, and wanted to go on watching but managed to forget about it in the middle of other shows! Finally I remembered I wanted to get back to it. ^_^

FUNimation does incredibly good dubs. (They also have incredibly good actors, though I do have a few qualms as to how often they recycle the same voices...) SO MUCH WIN ON THE USE OF THE WORD "TWINCEST" IN THE OHSHC DUB. XD

And mmm... bananaphone. <3

LOL so very true! I really am fortunate in that I don't much like whole bananas anyway, so no matter how ripe/unripe, I mash them up and add them to something else...like rum and coconut milk. ;-)
