Code Geass Halloween Pumpkin

Another Halloween pumpkin! Code Geass this time.

Lelouch was sad that he didn't get a pumpkin. So I made him one. ^_^




This was the original picture.



Notice the eye is open wider than in the pumpkin version--if I hadn't changed it the iris would have been floating in space, and you can't have that. After playing with the brightness and the contrast in Photoshop Elements, I used the shadow on the eye to define the upper eyelid and thus anchor the iris.



And then, again, a little work with a black marker.

You can't draw for anything? That's honestly hard to believe! If you can carve on pumpkins like this, then surely you can make engravings (which all of the old art masters did, and engravings are just like drawings, right?)

Anyway, you did an awesome job! And your Death Note pumpkins look incredible, too! Although I have to say that Code Geass is overwhelmingly more pumpkin-like than Death Note---sure, Death Note has the gothic aesthetic thing going on, but all of the stringy stuff inside the pumpkin is totally like the network of neurons and blue brain paths that they always show in the Geass animation! :D

No, I seriously can't draw, I have no drawing skillz! It looks like I can manage with crafts, though--I paint dolls and can make little clay animals and carve pumpkins. ^_^
