Proof that I am, indeed, the luckiest slashgirl in the world:

(Paraphrased online conversation:)

[livejournal.com profile] brevisse in her lj: "I'm almost done with the art for Amanuensis. Oh, and I drew her an illustration based on a line in Other Chambers, Darker Secrets."

Me: *Ear-splitting SQUEE* It wouldn't be...THAT line, would it?

[livejournal.com profile] brevisse: (sulking) You guessed.

Me: *Even louder eardrum-rupturing squee*

I see picture later that night when brevisse sends it to me.

Squee reaches sonic boom proportions.

OH...MY...GOD.

Take me now, lord. There's nothin' more I can aspire to.

ETA: I think it's the "-Management" on the bottom of the sign that just completely sends it over the top, don't you?

Squee!

*giggles* personally, I adore the slightly dotty expression of the sign. And the matching smirks...

Matching smirks under NON-matching noses! I love that!
From: [identity profile] devulgari.livejournal.com
Oh my. I saw that Harry POV humor as something his brain wouldn't let him let go of, the sweetest, saddest whistle in the dark, and then someone goes and makes a cartoon out of it and you think it's funny?!?!?!?!?!?!? Dear god, you are twisted. And just to put that in perspective, I typed that in a deeply admiring frame of mind.

To me, any reference to that line would be Snape's "Poor boy." If anyone ever illustrates that, I'll look, but only because I won't be able to look away.
From: [identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com
*glomps and kisses you like crazy for the one thing you said in particular*

Oh my god-- yes. THAT line. You got it, you felt it. When I was writing that story, I was writing it, and writing it, and thinking how awful some of the characters were, and I thought about how evil the events were, and then I typed those two words of Snape's: "Poor boy..." And I took my hands off the keyboard and fell out of my chair and lay on the floor gibbering and whimpering and biting my fingers and moaning, "What have I done? Dear god, what have I done?"

Thank you thank you SO. YES.

(and I intend to use that subject line A LOT. ^_^)

*also squees* It's so prettiful! *strokes* And your right - it is the '-Management' that completes it. *squees again*

How can they all manage to be so darn CUTE in this?

That is gorgeous, hilarious, and undeniably twisted - all rolled up in one! Whenever I think of Other Chambers, Darker Secrets I think of that line. One of my favourites. Then again, all of your stories are my favourites. *Shrugs*

I don't think it's so much the '- Management' as it is the fact that [livejournal.com profile] brevisse managed to make it look so very much like an actual sign at an amusement park. '- Management' was an excellent touch though.

Good god, that is brilliant...

Lucius' haughty expression and that cane, Snape's 'gonna get some' smirk, but the cardboard snake cut out is just hilarious.

Whatever brought this about, I'm thanking god for it right now.

Magnificent! The expressions on the men (particularly Snape, yes!) and on poor, poor Harry's face are to die for. Not to mention the expression on the snake's face.

Nope, I have to vote for Snape's expression. And Harry's raised hand with the finger half-pointed, so you just *know* he's stammering "b-b-b...but...!" :)

Wow, that's just hilarious. Who's the third? Draco?

Other Chambers is still the most traumatising fic I've ever read. I'll be reading some fluff, and suddenly it'll come to haunt me *g*

Actually, no, it's Riddle! See the book? brevisse admitted that could be confusing since he wasn't actually in that story, but she thought Draco didn't quite deserve to be there ("too much of a snot").

Thank you for letting me know I have the power to traumatize, hee!... *feels bad and promises to write some fluff Real Soon Now.*

From: [identity profile] brevisse.livejournal.com
Yeah, it's Riddle. *Shrugs* I cheated- I'm not a big Draco fan. As evil goes, he's just sort of... There. On the sidelines. Clutching a glass of punch and wetting himself at how COOL it is to be there.

I thought that Riddle deserved some screen time. And really- this pic isn't exactly true to story-canon, is it?

(love the icon, by the way)

Yes, Severus, Lucius, and Tom must have agreed before they got in line so that they don't just set about each other going, "Me first!" and giving Harry the opportunity to run off...
