Before the rates change...
Sep. 6th, 2006 12:33 pmThose attending Prophecy 2007 in Toronto--you registering for the Welcoming and Leaving Feasts? (It's $50 more if you do.) I'm in an "I will if you do" state about it--not doing it for the food but for the company. My default will be to register for them, unless a lot of people say they're not going to bother.

Date: 2006-09-06 06:48 pm (UTC)other hand, the food might suck and I can think of a LOT of really good
Toronto restaurants that I would rather eat at.
Also, I haven't really discussed it yet with the people I'm going with.

Date: 2006-09-08 01:05 pm (UTC)I just wanted to be clear that basing the experience on the quality/quantity/mix of food *at Lumos* is kind of like saying you won't go to a steakhouse in Chicago because the seafood in Baltimore was icky. :^D (And um, that should have been "judge," not "just," up there. Duh.)
Sorry your experience was icky, btw! My food was okay - in fact, every meal I ate there was fine - but I can easily see how a plated service for that many people gets logistically difficult, and unfortunately, it sounds like you were at an unlucky table. Meeble.
I don't know what is planned yet - buffet or sit-down - but stay posted. You can always opt-in later, if it becomes more appealing.

Date: 2006-09-07 04:06 am (UTC)i just wanted to add in that most of the people ive heard from arent going to pay $50 for feasts when there is a chance that the food wont be very good and also, $50 for two meals? expensive, much.
i also need to register before the rates go up but i must come across a credit card before i can do so.
