Drabble for "Recapture" by waccawheels (Lucius-centric, G)

You guys seen waccawheels's lovely illustration (worksafe) of Draco carrying Lucius out of Azkaban? It made me drabble. Haven't posted fic in a while, so, you guys get it.

Lifted.

But I am not capable of Heaven, thought Lucius. The sensation was familiar in abstract but long absent from his body-memory. Rising. Carried.

Flying.

"You--" It was a rasp. He tried again. "Archangel. You are, aren't you."

The body which bore him in its arms did not break stride. "Father. It's me."

Lucius lifted long-unfocused eyes to look upon the face of his rescuer. It remained indistinct, but the pale yellow of the hair above caught and held the cast of torchlight.

The Morningstar. He'd been right on both counts. "My lord," he murmured, contented.

*GAPES* Oh. My. God. Because that is just too insane to conceive, even with Lucius in his delirious state. I was already pitying Lucius in Wacca's pic and now I only feel more wibbly for the man. CURSE YOU! And by 'curse', I mean 'LOVE'.

Oh dammit. Now I'm going to have to love Lucius/Draco, something I find kinda squicky to say the least. Incest, even the just-emotional kind? is kinda dubious. Abusive incest? makes my innards curdle. But THAT was just gorgeous.

Malfoycest is odd like that--one of the first forms of fictional incest that didn't curdle me. Of course, both pic and drabble can be read without the incestuous overtones, but you already know that and clearly there was a different kind of voice that wanted you to hear it. :D Thank you!

That's so sad, and so right. Lucius hasn't changed a bit, even if he would never have said (or thought) those things before. Yet he has been destroyed.
