Seven hours 'til showtime. Eee.

Is anyone else like me--so worked up that now they don't want the film to be here this soon? That they want to wait a little longer so that it's not over with? I was like this for the Azkaban film and for both of the previous books.

Ohhhhh yeah. Imagine how it'll be for the next *ahem*last*ahem* book. Then we won't even have any more books to look forward to.

Felt that way like mad with the last book - *still* think I could've waited for it a few years longer, even though I loved it :). The films don't get me worked up as much, but I'm still wibbling because of - argh! - waiting til Monday night. Because there'll be Luscious! And the graveyard! And *wibble*!

I'm hiding from the film. I'm nervous that it's going to suck and I'm white-faced with terror at the thought of seeing the movie with 500 children. :>

(Elrond icon, yesss!) I take you dead seriously. I know what you mean. Maybe less kids this go-round because of the NC17 ra--er, the PG-13 rating? Heh, I really did type that! A girl can dream, can't she?

I know EXACTLY what you mean!

I'm actually a little nervous about going to see it, what with all the squeeing going on already -- I'm afraid I won't like it, and that'll be proof that I'm just an alien pretending to be an HP fan. *Wibbles!*

HOLD MEEEEE!!!

*holds* It's gonna be good. I really do think it. I think it because there's just so much new stuff that will be there and will make us say, "Look! Look how they did THAT!"

(while we try not to yell, "More Snape! More Sirius, dammit!" Because, you know, there can never be enough Snape or Sirius.)

Yeah, I'm like that. I'm usually like that. I'm always dissapointed when the anticipation goes away, whether for Christmas, or birthdays, or just getting things in the mail. I love looking forward to something, and when it finally comes . . . it's not that *it* is bad or a let down (Well sometimes it is that too) but I just miss the excitment of waiting.

I'm going to see it in... about 3 hours! I'm a little put off by the idea of seeing it with a theater full of kids, and I don't think the PG-13 rating will help with that. Not here(small town in Georgia), anyway. Our viewing of Batman Begins, also PG-13, was full of kids - - little kids.

Two of them - - 3 or 4 year old twins - - nearly ruined it for me. They ran up and down our row, shrieking, climbing on the seats, and their parents somehow managed to ignore them. I didn't complain then, but if *anyone* impairs my ability to see Severus and Lucius in peace, God help them.

I told my husband my idea for a petition for adults-only showings of Harry Potter(and any "kid" movie I want to see). He thought I was kidding.

Anyway, rant over, back to your normal LJ programming.

2 hours and 55 minutes!

From: [identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com
Yeah, I think sometimes you have to make your own adults-only showing by not going during the likeliest kid-full times. But even that doesn't deter them! Ten p.m., and there's all these kids up past their bedtimes, dagnabbit.

I've been feeling like that for the past 10 months..I like it when my everyday life is marked by important expectations like that for HBP and this one for GOF...the next thing I'm waiting for is the Italian translation of Half-Blood Prince, because it will be fun to see how they have adapted it. After January the 6th I'll feel very sad, though :( No more important countdowns!

I was like that for HBP. I didn't feel at all ready when it came out and I was a nervous wreck all through that last month of waiting! But the films... I'm not very crazy about them, so I'm not all full of anticipation. What makes me a little nervous, though, is that I've already read a totally spoilery scene by scene overview and I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. Like I was with PoA. OTOH, a lot of my flist have already seen it or will see it in one or two days and this makes me a bit envious because here it's not being released until the 25th (or something). And despite everything I said, there are really some things I SO can't wait to see, like the graveyard scene and Lucius. *g*

I actually didn't want the movie to end. The kids can act now! Which we have Alfanso Curion to thank for, and the director of GoF to praise for continuing it.

Slight spoiler, possibly, if you are insanely paranoid * * * *

Was I the only one thinking of Snarry love during the store cupboard scene? I mean really, all Snape needed to do was push Harry into a wall and the rest...would follow I suppose.

I think I may be a sick person...

Date: 2005-11-19 01:38 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] eskimosatan.livejournal.com
Not at all. When the cupboard door opened all I could think was that Snape looked incredibly guilty for having been found in closed cupboard with another man and then Harry walked in after him. I thought I was going to die a very happy death, or make really embarassing noises from the back of my throat that the people behind and infront of me could hear.

I wanted him to take Harry against the ladder. If he put him up a rung or two, they'd have been about the same beight. Oh, and I got such a kick out of Snape pushing their heads down over their homework. He just needed to turn Harry around to do that and... I think I may be a sick individual, as well.
