Film casting...

I keep scanning IMDB for the Goblet of Fire cast list, and for two specific credits: Lily Potter and James Potter. Nothing yet. What do you think: will they be ghostly CGI shades, non-speaking roles? Or is that information just considered too spoilery to release yet?

(This is nothing compared to how frantically I'll be looking to see who they cast as the young Marauders and Snape and Lily for OotP. It doesn't matter so much who, as to know that they will be cast, because if that "Snape's Worst Memory" scene ain't there, you'll hear my howls from here to Trinidad. And yes, I live kinda far from Trinidad.)

I doubt the information is too spoilery; they could be in for anything (like in SS in the mirror of erised, PoA they're just in a photo by Harry's bed). So, I don't know...

Oooh, I hadn't even considered this. The casting of young Snape and his abusers those other guys is going to be. really. important. to me. I have them all mapped out in my head... who they were, what they looked like, how they behaved. If the film messes with my fantasy thoughtfully constructed scenario of the Marauders era, there WILL BE HELL TO PAY. Because I'll... I'll... well, you'll see!

You know, I suspect that they're going to put the Prank in OotP in place of Snape's Worst Memory, and that that was their justification for leaving any mention of it out of the PoA film.

That is a most disturbing, horrible, infuriating prospect. They can't leave that scene out! Well, I know they can but I'll be really pissed off if they do. It's one of my most favourite scenes of OotP. And I think it's very important as well.

For now, I just hope GoF won't be too bad. I was a bit disappointed with PoA. With the Shrieking Shack scene in particular (and so many other things...)

and they better film *all* the scenes with my beloved Severus, anyway è_é cause usually he's so..useless in the movies T__T

Not to talk about the (almost)final scene of GoF...I wonder how Ralph Fiennes will look like..and I hope the whole scene will be as slashy as it was in the book!! (or in my mind O_o)

I was just reading in JKR's FAQs that she thought it was 'fine' that the MWPP backstory got left out of PoA. Tsk. I foresee much more dropping of my favourite canon bits from the films. The more I think about it, the more likely it seems that the Worst Memory will be left out in favour of Grawp or some similarly child-friendly naffness. *sob*

Dude, you too! I'm wondering if Lily and James Potter from the first movie, or the third will be used, or they'll (FINALLY) go younger. I mean, they wouldn't be CGI, cause heck Voldemort is weird and strange and yet they're putting RALPH FECKINF FIENNES in the prosthetics so...yeah. I'm going nowhere with this.

I'm getting all twitchy and pissed off just thinking about that cut in OotP. But Michael Goldberg, he I have faith in. He made Peter Pan into a very compelling script. Kloves just puts in booger jokes and laughs to the bank. I rather think he abuses the friendship he's got with JKR, but who am I to pick friends ;)

That they make that scene slapstick, and probably downplay the significance of what the scene means to Snape and Harry (God knows, I still love James and Sirius, but dang... that was... buggery).

I'm only glad that Kloves isn't writing the screenplay for OoTP though...

Slapstick? Oh, god, I hope not. That scene is so DARK. If there was silly "Deedle-ee-dee! Ba-BOING!" music in the background of that scene, if you know what I mean, I would have to flee the theatre.
