So I saw this "Empire's 100 Sexiest Movie Stars (as voted by fans)," and instantly I could feel the anxiety and the nausea beginning; and I started to search the male list from the top down, and there I was, thinking, "If Jeremy Renner is not on this, I'm going to be sick and sick to my stomach all night and depressed and I'm going to have to go to bed early, goddammit." And he was number 21 and instantly my evening is joyful.

Yeah, I still got it bad.

I have concluded I mostly dislike still images of Renner (with exceptions, but by and large), but like basically all moving images. This is true for practically no one else that comes to mind, but apparently for me his appeal is almost entirely about movement.

I completely get this--some people take pictures that make them look freaking dreadful, and then you see them in person and you're all WHAT. YOU ARE LOVELY.

This particular pic of Renner (in the Empire list) isn't one of my faves at all, but, whoa, I do have my favorites of the man. (I still love him best with Hawkeye hair.)

That list made me quite happy. I'd have shuffled a few people around, but mostly I liked the list. ALL THE AVENGERS! \0/ Made me really happy! Even if no1 is not really to my taste. (No 2 is! So that almost made up for it. And with Downey at 5, I can't really complain <3)

I saw BC there at number 1, and TH at 2, and thought, "This can't be real, it's as if...oh, look, it IS, it was fan-voted!" Clearly this is why folk like Channing Tatum are so low on the list, relatively speaking, because he hasn't yet made a film with a character that speaks to fannish types, despite his turns in mainstream and romantic films.

Yep, it's clearly that. But I like it anyway - which I usually don't. I guess Empire fans are closer to my taste than the usual US magazines that let people vote. European sensibilities? I'm an anglophile? Who knows/cares - it just looks like I got lucky or something ;)

(For instance, I really don't like the look of Channing Tatum. Nothing to do with his acting chops, which I can't speak to at all, but he's just not my type. To me, personally, he's, well, close to ugly... Whereas I really like Hiddleston - that's to do with his personality too, I think, he's a nice guy - and Cumberbatch is just off to me somehow, despite being a good actor and seemingly a decent human being too.)
