Sounds like you have a reasonable perspective, yeah. If you're in it for the action and the character parts make you say, "C'mon, get on with the blowing up stuff," this film takes a while to get there. (That's essentially my reaction to every single disaster movie. "Please stop trying to make me care about the divorced couple and their kid with leukemia, JUST GIVE ME THE TIDAL WAVE IN GLORIOUS CGI.")
