*looks at all the squee on flist* I guess I'm the only one who thought it was 45 minutes of "hey Mom, watch me watch me watch me watch me" tell-not-show, huh.

Yes, Torchwood does too. Sometimes both of the shows are spot-on, but sometimes they fall quite short. I think the shows manage certain moments so well even in weak episodes, and that's one of the strengths.
