Secondary to some very pretty artwork by rexluscus, I watched the anime of Pet Shop of Horrors--homg, I can see why this thing is a slashgirl's dream. There's only one OTP, one guy's bishounen-pretty and wily while the other's buff and suspicious, and while they're not actually doing it they're about one come-hither look away. And from what the anime demonstrates, the fanfiction must tend to follow the same structure as the episodes, so, you know what yer getting.

I liked it so much I watched it again the very next day. Who wants to point me to the good fanfiction?

In PSoH fics, you can just swap out the name Snape for D and Remus (or Harry) for Leon. ;)

Ooh, no, I don't see that. Snape is moody while the Count is playful, Remus is calm while Leon's a bit of a hothead. I see a different dynamic! :D

Oh, I think Snape can be plenty playful if he wants to. And I think of Leon as more of the Harry type anyway. :)

Umm... those can't be very good PSoH fics, then. ^_^' There's nothing androgynous about Snape, and he's not particularly animal & Nature loving, etc.

Yeah, I agree! But Sirius wouldn't realluy work, either. I don't know, I can't really see any comparison in between PSoH and HP. *shrug*

Have you read Kodaka Kazuma's Sex Therapist? It's clearly based on PSoH and the main character even looks like a mixture of Count D and Muraki from Yami no Matsuei. He's a sex therapist and "cures" his customers by having sex with them. XD You can find it here:

Yeah, they're both hotheads, so it is understandable. But Remus... even when written as werewolf!Remus he doesn't come close to that. And I can't really see D and Snape as similar characters. Perhaps if I had only seen the OVA, but not after the manga... the OVA version of D already felt a bit off for me.

It's really gorgeous so I'm glad I did. :) And it was a good excuse to make a new layout, since I was a bit bored of my old Hoshi no Yakata one. BTW, if you like BDSM yaoi, you should definitely check out Hoshi no Yakata. It seems that GooC doesn't have html downloads for it anymore, though. :/
