Finnish! Really?? Wow! Whoa, forgive my total fangirly squealiness here, but I have to tell you, that would completely make my year. I would LOVE to have a story translated into Finnish, and I can't even properly explain why. I don't even speak it, have never studied it beyond my little English-Finnish phrasebook--I just really like Scandinavian languages a lot and wish I did speak them. I would completely love it if you wanted to do so, yes! &hearts

OMG, you know Finland exists?! :P We are such a tiny dot on the map that people usually have no clue, other than having heard the name once or twice. I'm always amazed when I find someone in the wonderland of Internet that does know about us. You even have a phrase book :) Do you mind if I ask how you came to learn about and enjoy the Scandinavian languages?

Just over the years...films set in Scandinavia, fairy tales, wanting to find out what was true about Vikings and is Iceland really covered with ice, y'know, all those things that make you embarrassed to admit you don't know how Danish is different from Finnish and what's just stereotype and what's actually characteristic of each country! It's like, it seems horribly ignorant to me when I say that I wish there was a Korean restaurant where I live, and someone points out that there's a Chinese restaurant around the corner. DIFFERENT, okay?? ^_^ And so I started to be embarrassed by my own ignorance of Scandinavian countries and at least wanted to perceive the geography and language differences.

That's so great :) So many people only (want to) know about what's going on in their own country, and screw the rest of the world.

I have to admit, though, that I probably couldn't tell Danish and Norwegian apart, either ;)

But if you want to see true ignorance, check out this post, and especially the comments to it.

Can I be a complete and utter fangirl for a moment? I found your writing on RS.org and fell in total love with it. I recc'd your fics on a past journal entry because Droit de Seigneur was so amazing...And A World Not So Black Nor White I had to print out and re-read over and over again because Lucius and Harry are so amazing together.

I saw the interview on Darkest Magic so had to come here and tell you that...reading your fics, and Beren's made me brave enough to do my own two serials, which I'm having an indecent amount of fun with.

So thank you, and I really look forward to reading more of your work!

You incredible sweetheart, thank you so much! I'm so happy you've liked them; I've had obscene amounts of fun with them--and, OMG, you must tell me more about those sequels!

*smiles* I mean every word. =D

My two serial stories are on my writing journal, slantedmoon. The first is called Tales of Atonement, and it got a bit sprawling, topping out at 50 chapters *blushes* Its non canon, but its fun and found its own group of admirers, so I'm happy with it. It's sequel is What Will Be and is up to Chapter Five.

The best fun I've had writing these lies in the fact that oftentimes, the characters just seem to take over, and I just let them; then read what I wrote and say "huh? How the hell did THAT happen?" But they know themselves best, so I tend to let them run. Of course, the nipple piercing scene got out of hand, but you just can't take Harry and Draco anywhere.

Again, thanks so much for the incredible stories!

Fifty chapters! Omigod, good for you! Aren't those "the characters took over" moments delightful, though!

Another fan girl here...I just read your interview on Darkest Magic, and this seems like a great moment to tell you how much I love your writing, and how inspiring it is. I think my favorite fic of yours of all time is actually the Nemo/Gill story, which I love in so many ways - I mean it's just so unexpected, and yet, it's sad and angsty and plausible and somehow fun to read all at once. I don't know how you do it.

My other favorite which I have read several times is 'As Sharp As Sunlight'. That story just breaks me in so many ways, I never really understood Lucius/Harry till I read it, and your Snape is wonderful, and Sirius is heartbreaking, and I love that you just shoot Remus with no warning and make the reader swallow and keep reading. I think that fic also officially removed my fear of clicking on stories with multiple pairings.

I also read 'Waking in Light' a while ago without making the connection that it was one of yours, but I really loved the delicacy and beauty of it.

Thanks for sharing your writing!

Oh, how wonderful, thank you so much for this! The Nemo/Gill story still cracks me up that I wrote it; yet every time I watch that movie I feel the same way: there's a romance in there! A gay fishy wait-for-me-until-I'm-grown-up romance, yes! You're the sweetest. Thank you so much for commenting!

Your story made me watch Finding Nemo again with a slashy eye, like many others I'm sure! I see about a million people have friended you and I hope you don't mind that I have as well, so I can keep up with your new writing.

Nothing to do with this fic here, sorry about that. I just read your interview on Darkest Magic and simply had to gush :)

I like the scene of Draco cruelly ravishing Harry in the hallway in And Just Plain Wrong.

That's my absolutely favourite scene of all time. Like you said, Draco's all big sneer, and when he says "That's nice, Harry. A little more sincerity, though, if you please. I can still hear the 'fuck you' all the way through," I just melt. It sounds like a teacher giving genuine advice to help his student's performance, and it's just so wrong in that context. And I can see Harry absentmindedly droning on about Draco's big cock, but like a pro immediately changing pace when he says something Draco doesn't like. It's perfect :)

Harry/Draco... who would propose to who and how?

Brilliant! That's exactly how it would go. Harry would think and think, and finally get it all out in one breath, and Draco would obviously say yes, but like it's no big deal.

What is one H/D fic you haven't read yet but would love to read, assuming you don't write it yourself?

I need to read this fic... Let us now if it does spark plot bunnies. All I've seen of this scenario is the first half, with Harry owning Draco, and Draco eventually starting to live the role in their developing relationship. Not as satisfying.

And you're a Mac girl, too! :) I bought my iMac last summer, and have never been more happy to get rid of that disaster we call Windows.

Okay, I think I've taken enough space for now. Thank you for listening :) So to speak.

Heee, I'm thrilled you liked the interview! Especially that scene in AJPW; it's exactly the sort of thing that gets to me, watching their history play out in their words, the routine that's clearly established for them.

Thank YOU for commenting, are you kidding?! :D
