starrysummer and I were talking on her lj and I've come to the conclusion, as prompted by her, that we need a Support Group for all those of us who cannot read A Feast For Crows until we've finished our Smutmas fics.

I still treasure the post of a reader who had just started A Game of Thrones and was beginning to think this book might be just a wee bit of a downer. He said plaintively, "This little girl's wolf just got killed. Should I keep reading or does it get worse?"

He was unanimously assured that it gets MUCH worse, and he should put the book down immediately.
