Snarry Severitus. Send it my way.

This? Best title ever.

Gets It From His Father, by [livejournal.com profile] the_con_cept. Meant as parody, but still sexy as hell. Come on, guys, there's got to be more Snarry Severitus out there for me to feel ever-so-wrong about. At least one of you started some but it went the way of (nearly) all WIPs. Anybody? Bueller?

Someone had one fic up at ff.net before. Was s/he called the eskimo or penguin or something like that...

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
PissedOffEskimo, y'think?

[identity profile] dancing-moon.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, that's the one

[identity profile] jayde524.livejournal.com 2012-10-14 11:55 am (UTC)(link)
i loled at your pic :) <3

[identity profile] painless-j.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
You are asking people to write Snarry Severitus!?!? *gazes at your icon reproachfully*

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Variety, baby! Of the shameless kind. ^_^

[identity profile] painless-j.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Duh, forgot to actually share links in my 'indignation' :)

One by [livejournal.com profile] sociofemme, but her site is down.

Another one by [livejournal.com profile] eskimosatan:
Twisted Little Happy
http://www.geocities.com/pissedoffeskimo/index1.htm

And one by [livejournal.com profile] ptyx, a part of Gothic Series:
http://ptyx.noigandres.com/gothic_series.html

I like ptyx's one, it's funny -- in the context.

But I liked this one by AbstractConcept the best.

You really should write one. Please?

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, awesome. I've heard of these but I don't think of seen them and already skimming through, they look yum.

I don't know if I can write one--I like reading them but it would be pushing my boundaries to write 'em. Of course, I rather like pushing my boundaries these days.

[identity profile] painless-j.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Should I open a campaign 'Come talk Amy into writing Snarry Severitus'? :)

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, I am torn between "Eh, probably not worth it; I'll write what inspires me," and "You want to get people to beg me and promise me things? OMG yes." ^_^

(Hee, perfect icon!)

[identity profile] painless-j.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really like to be pushy (what? I don't! I'm perfectly innocent *looks shifty*) 'cos I don't like pressure on myself. But if you wrote it, many, many pervs people would be happy, me included :)

[identity profile] gredandfeorge.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
*begs on hands and knees*
I'll draw fanart if you do.

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, you tempting serpent, you! Damn you! ^_^

[identity profile] atrata.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I'll promise you things! I love Snarry Severitus, but you've already got the links to all the stories I know of. The fandom needs more!

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes! For the good of the fandom, I must! (I'll keep telling myself and see what inspires.)

[identity profile] sociofemme.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! Thanks for the mention! :-) My site isn't actually down, my domain just switched things around on me and I'm a loser who can't really code very well. But! I have the linky here. The right one. XD

Who's Your Daddy, by ME. *g*

[identity profile] painless-j.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, thanks! *updates bookmarks*

[identity profile] sociofemme.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
no, dahling, thank you! :-)

I'm not active in fandom so much any more, so my recs are getting scarce on the ground. It's nice to be remembered for all the awful things I've done to the English language! *g*

[identity profile] leni-jess.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Looks interesting! That link also has all its coding naked, so I downloaded and cleaned it up to read. (Will feedback when read.) Um. What's wrong with ^l^l for a para with a space between? or had you tried that?

[identity profile] sociofemme.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sorry it doesn't look right--it seems fine when I pull it up on my browser. What are you using? I used a cheapy program to put my code into my site designer's template, I bet I messed something up somewhere.

[identity profile] leni-jess.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
The text comes up, and after each para is a line of code which looks as if it's meant to create a blank line. "!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--!--[endif]--" (I removed the angle brackets from start, middle and end to get it to (a) display and (b) not truncate any text after it.)

If you need to know exactly what it looks like, say, and I'll replace angles with something inert.

[identity profile] sociofemme.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, that's weird. Thanks for the heads up!

[identity profile] leni-jess.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, and my browser is IE - the latest, I think.

[identity profile] leni-jess.livejournal.com 2005-09-29 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
For want of finding anywhere else to leave feedback (sorry, Amanuensis, for OTing your LJ!):

You mean you're leaving them hanging like that? Harry may be okay with it, but Severus – well, on the other hand, he's been getting very antsy the last few days... perhaps he's more adaptable than he thinks he is.

I enjoyed the story.

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Please, take over the LJ, be my guest! It's fun! ^_^

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! I find I liked that ending, actually! The ambiguity puts it all into a class of its own.

[identity profile] telepwen.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I never liked the Severitus thing, so I lack any good recs...

I just dropped by to drool over Bolero, and to shake my fist at you for making me stop listening to the fantastic Toby Keith song that was on and skip to Ravel.

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, but it's Snarry Severitus, which makes all the diff. Sorry about the Keith song but you should especially see Allegro Non Troppo if you haven't and watch the Bolero sequence--it's fabulous.

[identity profile] telepwen.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I have not heard of this. What is it?

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
It's an Italian parody version of Fantasia; the connecting segments are comedy but the animation sequences range from funny to risque to sentimental to profound. And they're all wonderful.

[identity profile] ariadneelda.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks for the rec, that fic was great! And oddly enough, I'd never read a Severitus fic before, even though Snarry is the ship I've read more than anything else. And now I think I'm in the mood for more Severitus. Agh, it must be contagious or something. Must be this incest thing. *g*

[identity profile] gredandfeorge.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG me too. Now I need to go in search of more. yum

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't really gravitate towards Severitus because I'm more pairing-oriented than plot-oriented in fanfiction, but the whole "they're lovers oh look AND they turn out to be father and son" has this...spice about it that draws me in.

[identity profile] ptyx.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I was going to pimp mine, but wonderful [livejournal.com profile] painless_j was faster than me! Anyway, it's here:
http://ptyx.noigandres.com/Gothic/gothic_3.html

If you don't like it, at least it's short! (I suk at summeries ;)

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I read it! It's sexy and forbidden and OOH! I'm so glad I got to see it! Harry's so tasty and Snape is lovely in his misery; can't help but think so. ^_^

[identity profile] ptyx.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, thanks, you're sweet! I can easily see Snape as Harry's father, and as I'm a Snarry OTPer, everytime I read a good Severitus (especially "Bloody Magic", by [livejournal.com profile] gatewaygirl) I longed to see them, er, doing it.

Ha, I love this icon, it's so perfect.

I would be delighted if you decided to write a Snarry Severitus! Pretty please?

[identity profile] ptyx.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Er. "Blood Magic".

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, I'll have to see if something inspires me in a way that hasn't been done before!

[identity profile] eskimosatan.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
There are more out there! I joined the bloody fandom as a writer because I couldn't find any and the idea was driving me to sheer madness. ::happy sigh:: Now, I'm off to read them!

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-27 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Send me the links when you find more!!

[identity profile] melpemone.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I hope your pleas work. I've been begging random strangers for Severitus incest for way too many years now. :) For the record, I started one, and it was too much like PoE's Twisted Little Happy, so I dropped it. Nowadays, I have a better idea, but no TIME. ::weeps::

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-28 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
(I love that icon!) I think it's shameful that perfectly good begging of random strangers has not resulted in more Snarry Severitus. ^_^

[identity profile] the_con_cept.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Did I remember to thank you for this? *is still disoriented and googly from trip* If not, thank you!

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2005-09-30 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! I left a bit of feedback on the fic page and told you I rec'ed it and you thanked me there, so, yes! *hugs*
