They were looking for different things, probably. In my experience, most definitely. And I'm used to that, and fine with it, too. I'm not a grouch who hates it when others have fun. But over the last years there's been this trend in fandom that I really don't like - people trying to tell others what they should and shouldn't like and why. The old "how to be a real fan" thing, just clad in other words. And I really don't react well to that, especially if I'm looking for completely different things.
