Wearable Superhero arts 'n' crafts, #2.

And here's Hawkeye hoodie #2, movie version. Again, started with basic instructions from shinykari's craft post.

Curved lines are trickier! Little tiny bits of tape, all lined up just so to form the curve. Worth it for labors of love, though.

Feelin' all kinds of badass. Seein' better from a distance. All that, ooh yeah.

Nifty! My housemate [personal profile] eternaleponine has fallen hard for Hawkeye (she's started reading comics when she never has before at all), and she's planning to cosplay him next year at the con I introduced her to. Packages have been arriving with tactical pants, and arm guards, and you get the idea. :)

She's spending a lot of money, but if you've got disposable income, I could get you the websites. The most expensive thing was the jacket, but considering she hadn't bought a new winter jacket in about ten years, it was a reasonable purchase. (Except for the fact that her old jacket, except for a bit of fading, was still going strong. Columbia jackets? Worth their damn price.) Wait, no, she didn't buy the exact boots (she doesn't wear men's sizes in shoes) but decided to go with Doc Martens, and because she bought the made-in-UK edition (because, holy shit, the Chinese-made ones are CRAP compared to what they made before outsourcing, I have horror stories) they were more expensive than the coat. But, again, she actually needed new boots, so it wasn't completely unjustified.

Now, the tactical pants with the built-in knee pads, and the zippery vest, and the archery accessories when she doesn't do archery... they're really only for cosplay. But... tax refund. And it makes her happy.
