It's not as if "sir" held no baggage for us pervy folk in the first place, now, is it? :D You combine that with our own observations and the way we feel about these characters, and the fact that it's Loki commanding that "sir" out of him...gnyarrrrrffff.
What I'm really rooting for is Natasha being the one who kills Coulson.
You know, you say that, and I keep wondering where is all the "I as good as put that fucking spear through his chest myself" Clint guilt fic; I have decided that its lack means one of several things:
1) it's out there, I'm just looking in the wrong places 2) Coulson denial fic is rampant, so, nothing for Clint to beat himself up over if he aten't dead 3) a lot of Clint-centric fic is Clint/Coulson, and to resolve "Clint has to deal with Coulson's death and still function for the end of Avengers to even happen" with "Clint and Coulson were a couple" is a tough order for a writer 4) it's just too. fucking. awful. for fans to tackle it.
