There's a gorgeous story where Spock's nuts are internal. Kind of down around the base of his spine, either side. So a back rub kinda makes him go all wobbly. I can't remember the name of the story but I loved it.

Oddly enough, I can't seem to read the porn-y older Kirk/Spock slash, maybe because they remind me of Shatner and Nimoy and that should say everything. Heh. (is very very sheepish and knows she is being silly alien) I love the sweeter romantic stuff though.

However, reading NC-17 rated nuKirk/nuSpock? OH HELL YEAH! BRING IT, BABY!

*laughs so hard* I KNOW they did! That's what I meant - Kirk/Spock really DID invent the term "slash." And even before the internets were around, natch. God bless the fan fic authors for doing that, venturing where no one has gone before and creating a whole fan fic genre in the process.

I actually learned about that years before when I picked up an ancient copy of the Motion Picture novelization by Vonda McIntyre and read, with much amusement, "Admiral Kirk" protesting that he and Spock were never an item. Protesting too much there, Admiral, sir? *giggles*

Personally, I like to think that slashing Kirk/Spock is just fandom coming full-circle, or a way of following in the footsteps of the first awesome group of ladies who boldly went where no one had gone before.
