This is ironic, following on the heels of those "people are basically good" commercials of eBay's.

Spammers are one thing, but, damn, I'm sick of out-and-out-criminals taking advantage of the vulnerable. Check this out:

This is the link to which an official-looking "Please verify your account information or your eBay account will be terminated" email sends you, if you're taken in by the logo and the well-crafted html, and click it. No obvious misspellings to clue you in, either.

Doesn't this piss you off? Viagra generic ads are one thing, unsolicited porn using the words "cumsluts" another--but this is definitely the work of the lowest of the low.

You know what I think would be fun? What if we all filled in the spaces with fake information that was insulting? Like, ebay password: eatmeimnotthisstupid, username: imforwardingthistothefbi, etc. I just might do that.

You know, I've had an exhausting weekend, and all the fun has just been sapped out of it--and it's Halloween. My favorite holiday. That is just so very sad.

So I thought I should at least capture one good moment and tell the fandom I love them, and that I hope you all have a very very Happy Halloween. Dress up, eat candy, and don't get your houses TP'd!

(Plus it's a great excuse to show off the gorgeous new Harry/Draco mood theme shaggirl made. So beautiful!)

And to make sure this is even a bit more fandom-y of a post, here's a recipe for Butterbeer that goseaward shared with me that is deLISH:

Butterbeer
Glass of Cream Soda
One Scoop Vanilla Ice Cream
Butterscotch Schnapps (about half a shot)

Put 'em all together and get the ice cream all melty. I kind of work it with the spoon; Goosey says microwaving it a little gives a real nice melty consistency and warmth. It's delicious. Enjoy!

...Maybe I'll put on my Ravenclaw socks for the rest of the evening. Yeah, that's as close to costuming as I'm going to get tonight.
