I think it's possible that--if this theory is sound--I might be an undertaster and you're a supertaster. There's an implication that people with fewer taste buds (undertasters) want stronger-tasting foods and turn up their noses at "blander" ones--this might be why I quadruple the spices called for in every recipe, and you (with more tastebuds, a supertaster) find beans yummy. ^_^
