I know I'm fixated on the way she looked 10+ years ago, in Absolutely Fabulous, but am I the only one who read Tonks' first appearance in OotP and thought, "Jane Horrocks, when they cast this character. Definitely."?

Daniel was showing off his swanky banana-yellow car to his girlfriend and gave her the keys to drive, saying, 'C'mon, it's the eighties!'

Tom Cruise = loser
Val Kilmer = still hot.

Woman! Share the good crack, dammit!
*Agrees, but secretly, so nobody realizes what a freak she is.*

And you're right, she would be perfect. Absolutely perfect, and cute beyond belief.

So that's good.
Wishful thinking. But good.

However, I have the impression we'll never see Regulus cast.

But no. The very first person who popped into my head (instantly) when we were introduced to Tonks was the girl, unfortunately dead, who played Charlotte in 4 Weddings and a Funeral. Now I see her as the girl who had a cameo in Love, Actually, the one who played one of Billy Mack's managers, you know?

And I'm delighted to see I'm not the only one who thought that!

Jane Horrocks

I used to have a ballet instructor who would have made a great Bellatrix. She scared the crap out of all of us and had a sort of gracelessly-aging-goth look about her. Although, actually, I think the woman who played Duckface in Four Weddings would be good. I saw her as Goneril in King Lear a few years ago and she was great at the whole evil bit.
