I won't argue how "unconventional relationship" doesn't always equal "slashy" for me because you've seen it and I haven't and I can see how that would work.

From what I'm being told, though, the character actually IS a boy, so I want to see it now!

Wait, that's a boy? I could've sworn from the movie that it was a girl.

"Unconventional relationship" doesn't always equal "slashy" for me either, but I did find that this movie fell into that ever-shifting overlap area of my id that pings for certain values of mmmyes.
