I've never locked a thing in this journal; I do not plan to start now.

WORD. You and me both. I just made a RARR!post about this, actually. :D I did check my interests with the intent of weeding out any "illegal" ones, but since I didn't actually have any in there (could've sworn I did!), nothing's changed after all. I'm very upset about [livejournal.com profile] pornish_pixies and [livejournal.com profile] shota, and am keeping a weather eye on the hp chan comm I'm still a member of. Because line images or text =/=abuse, and I refuse to even imply that such might be the case.

And frankly, I don't see the POINT in locking everything. There's a warning in my info, and I tend to say something in the actual rec if there's something particularly disturbing involved. That's reasonable. If someone runs into something un-innocent, they can't claim I didn't take reasonable precautions to keep 'em from it, and locking it all up under friends-only clearance isn't going to make it any "safer."
