I've been feeling very melancholic about fandom lately because so many people seem to be drifting away and your post made me feel better two days ago (I just didn't have the time to comment). Today this melancholic mood struck me again for the same reasons, so I came back here to reread your post and it really helped. I could say a lot of things in response but I can't seem to be able to put my thoughts in some order right now, so I'll just say YES to everything you said. And I'm so very glad your love for HP may have changed but is still strong. I'd be incredibly sad if you, too, had started losing interest.
