I discovered something yesterday: I have never, ever had to spell amanuensis out loud for anyone. As in, never given anyone Amanuensis's email address or website address or lj name out loud. I tried to do it for the first time on a recording yesterday and completely blew it.

I even worked it into my current WiP once, which friends of mine know is not-so-secretive homage to you, in fact. :D (I'm not stalking you, I swear!) And it's very subtle; Draco is writing anonymous letters to Harry as one person in his own writing, but then also starts writing to Harry as himself, and in order not to give himself away, is forced to hire a scribe (read: amanuensis) to actually pen the letters for him. :)
