I almost never watch the Academy Awards. I'd rather get up tomorrow morning and learn from Yahoo!News that Brokeback Mountain didn't win for Best Picture than experience the crushing disappointment as it's happening, y'know?

I still hope that Jon Stewart kicks butt, though. Other people's irreverance is what gets me through life.

I know, I can't bear to watch. I care for all sorts of reasons this year (some of them remarkably self-serving), and I just don't think I can bear it. Not even for Jon Stewart, who is my boyfriend. Or will be, one day, when we are introduced. Ooh! I need to tell you my three degrees of separation story about Jon Stewart.

Actually I developed a taste for air-popped with soy sauce some years back, if you can believe it. But if I'm offered my choice I'll take real cauldron-made kettle corn. That stuff is CRACK.
